Ramin Karimloo and The Broadgrass Band to play London concert this December

Ramin Karimloo is to join The Broadgrass Band in a London concert this December.

The West End and Broadway star will perform a mix of musical theatre hits and folk favourites in the one-night-only show at the Eventim Apollo, London on 15 December 2021.

Tickets will go on sale from Thursday, 5 August at 10AM.

Karimloo’s musical theatre roles have included Jean Valjean in Les Miserables on Broadway (for which he was nominated for a Tony Award) and West End, and the Phantom in Phantom of The Opera in London. He is currently in Tokyo starring as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar.

As well as his stage appearances, Karimloo has appeared on TV in Holby City, playing consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Kian Madani.

Karimloo said of his collaboration with The Broadgrass Band: “Over the past decade we have organically developed a unique, rootsy sound called ‘Broadgrass’ – breathing some bluegrass into Broadway and bringing some drama into Bluegrass.

“Featuring the passionate drama of musical theatre hits, original songs and covers that mean something to us in the band, it’s an eclectic show. But, as always, it’s all about the stories in the songs.”

He added: “I can’t wait to return to London to perform these songs with The Broadgrass Band at Hammersmith’s legendary Eventim Apollo this December.

“We’ll be pulling out all the hits for what I promise to be a celebratory evening that’s been a long time coming.”
