Cast and creatives announced for workshop of new musical My Sister Is Missing

Casting and creatives have been announced for the workshop of new one-person musical My Sister Is Missing.

The dark musical comedy is written by Izzie Winter who will also star in the workshop.

The five day workshop will be directed by Georgie Rankcom with movement direction by William Spencer.

Basil’s sister is missing, and after being made redundant from the laundrette, they have a lot of free time. With a passion for fixing things, they decide to take matters into their own hands. Basil may not like change, loud noises, or bus journeys, but nothing will stop them from finding their sister.

My Sister Is Missing is the new British thriller musical comedy that puts a nonbinary protagonist centre stage.

Writer and composer Izzie Winter said: “There need to be more trans/nonbinary characters in musical theatre, written to have as colourful and authentic lives as we live off stage.”

The workshop will be crowdfunded, to be presented to a closed industry audience to prepare for theatre audiences in 2023, you can support the workshop here.
