Death Note: The Musical has announced new West End concert dates.

Following acclaimed productions in Japan and Korea Death Note: The Musical gets its English language premiere in concert at The London Palladium on 21 and 22 August 2023. Tickets are on sale now here

It will then transfer to the Lyric Theatre for six performances from 7 – 10 September. Tickets are on sale now here

Based on the Japanese manga series of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, the musical features music by Frank Wildhorn with lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell.

Frances Mayli McCann (Bonnie and Clyde), Dean John-Wilson (Aladdin) and Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Heathers) will lead the cast at the London Palladium. Casting for the run at the Lyric Theatre is to be announced.

Light Yagami, a bright but dissatisfied high school student in Tokyo comes across a discarded notebook owned by Ryuk, a mythological god of death.

Discovering he can kill anyone by just writing their names in the supernatural notebook, Light takes justice into his own hands by filling the notebook with names of the nation’s most wanted criminals. But a detective only known as “L” is soon tracking him down…

Nick Winston will direct and choreograph the production from Carter Dixon McGill Productions and Indie Theatrical with costume design by Kimie Nakano, musical supervision by Katy Richardson, musical direction by Chris Ma, orchestrations by Jason Howland, design by Justin Williams, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Ben Harrison, casting by Harry Blumenau, and artwork by Rebecca Pitt Creative. Alex Sarmiento is the associate director by and choreographer.
