Disenchanted Disney+ UK release date revealed – watch new trailer!

Disenchanted Disney Plus release date, cast and spoilers

A first look trailer from Disney’s upcoming Enchanted sequel has dropped.

Over a decade on from the original movie’s 2007 release, the new follow up – titled Disenchanted – arrives on Disney+ later this year.

Enchanted followed princess Giselle who found herself flung from her animated world into real-life New York.

Disenchanted will be released on 18 November 2022 on Disney+.

A teaser for the sequel shares: “It’s been 15 years since Giselle and Robert got married, but Giselle has since grown disillusioned with life in the city. They decide to move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairytale life – but it isn’t the quick fix she hoped for.

“Suburbia has a whole new set of rules, plus a local queen bee, Malvina Monroe, who makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever. Frustrated that her happily ever after hasn’t been so easy to find, she turns to the magic of Andalasia for help, accidentally transforming the entire town into a real-life fairytale and placing her family’s future happiness in jeopardy.

“Now, Giselle is in a race against time to reverse the spell and determine what happily ever after truly means to her and her family.”

Joining the cast are Maya Rudolph, Kolton Stewart, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Oscar Nunez and Gabriella Baldacchino.

Stephen Schwartz and Alan Menken reunite to pen the music after the first movie was nominated for a trio of Oscars for its songs.
