A brand new cast recording of From Here To Eternity The Musical is in the works!

Based on the 1951 novel of the same name, From Here to Eternity features a book by Donald Rice and Bill Oakes with music by Stuart Brayson and lyrics from Sir Tim Rice.

A new revival of the show, which originally opened on the West End in 2013, recently ran at the Charing Cross Theatre.

A new cast album from the new production is in the works with composer Stuart Brayson announcing on Twitter: “We are currently recording the brand new cast album of @FHTEMusicalUK & am I allowed to say it sounds absolutely bloody fabulous? Coming to your devices & more in 23. Merry Christmas!🎄Stu x”

An exact release date for the album is to be announced.

Set in Pearl Harbor, 1941, where the girls sing “don’cha like Hawaii”, the men of G Company sing the blues, and where even on an army base, love and desire are never very far away.

As war approaches, the worlds of the four lovers and the soldiers of G Company are dramatically ripped apart.

The new production wrapped up its run in London on 17 December.

On the cast were Jonny Amies, Jonathon Bentley, Desmonda Cathabel, Leonard Cook, Kyerron Dixon-Bassey, Sarah Drake, Dominic Adam Griffin, Cassius Hackforth, Robin Hayward, Callum Henderson, James Mateo-Salt, Rhys Nuttall, Jack Ofrecio, Jaden Oshenye, Eve Polycarpou, Adam Rhys-Charles, Carley Stenson, Alan Turkington and Joseph Vella.

The new production is directed by Brett Smock with musical director and orchestrator Nick Barstow, set and costume designer Stewart Charlesworth, sound designer Andrew Johnson, choreographer Cressida Carré, production coordinator Ollie Hancock and casting director Jane Deitch. Aria Entertainment, Bill Kenwright and Heartaches Limited are producers.
