Kelly Clarkson could be writing a Broadway musical

Kelly Clarkson has revealed she is working on a musical project for Broadway.

In a new interview, the singer opened up about her love for theatre and plans for the stage.

She shared with Nancy O’Dell on talkshop.live: “I’m in love with like theatre and Broadway and all of that.

“I never thought I’d get a chance to do anything like that.”

She added: “Eventually I would love to do something [on Broadway]. I am in the works of writing something right now for Broadway.”

As for what Clarkson is working on, watch this space!

The hitmaker has previously showcased her love of musical theatre with covers on her daytime chat show.

Recently Clarkson shared a special performance of the song She Used To Be Mine from Waitress, accompanied by two dancers.

The big ‘eleven o’clock number’ from the hit Broadway and West End show is written by Sara Bareilles who reacted on Twitter: “AAAAAAAAAAAahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Beyond beyond beyond!! Love you and this so much!!”
