Matilda The Musical soundtrack album released – stream & download!

Matilda The Musical has released the soundtrack album for its new movie adaptation.

A brand new take on the Tony and Olivier award-winning musical will come to cinemas in the UK from 25 November.

With original songs from comedian Tim Minchin, Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical tells the story of an extraordinary girl, with a vivid imagination, who dares to take a stand to change her story with miraculous results.

An accompanying soundtrack album to the new film was released on 18 November ahead of a physical release on 9 December.

Directed by Matthew Warchus, who directed the stage version, the movie will star Alisha Weir in the title role with Emma Thompson as Miss Trunchball and Lashana Lynch as Miss Honey.

In the UK, the movie will be released theatrically on 25 November, 2022. The movie will be released elsewhere in the world on Netflix on 25 December.

Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical is an inspirational musical tale of an extraordinary girl who discovers her superpower and summons the remarkable courage, against all odds, to help others change their stories, whilst also taking charge of her own destiny. Standing up for what’s right, she’s met with miraculous results.

Meanwhile the West End stage production continues to run in London having recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.
