Moulin Rouge! The Musical is playing London’s West End – here’s who’s on the current cast!

Moulin Rouge The Musical is based on the 2001 film Moulin Rouge! directed by Baz Luhrmann and written by Luhrmann and Craig Pearce. It tells the story of Christian who falls in love with actress and courtesan Satine, star of Paris cabaret venue Moulin Rouge.

The jukebox musical features a book by John Logan with a pop rock score made up of songs from artists ranging from Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Sia, Katy Perry and Beyonce to Elton John , Lorde, The White Stripes and The Police.

Leading the current company are Tanisha Spring (Groundhog Day) as Satine and Dom Simpson (The Book of Mormon) as Christian.

Joining them are Ivan De Freitas (& Juliet) as Santiago, Charlotte Gooch (Dirty Dancing) as Nini, Anthony Cragg (Starlight Express) as Baby Doll, Bernadette Bangura (My Fair Lady) as La Chocolat, Matt Rixon as Harold Zidler, Ian Carlyle as Toulouse-Lautrec, Ben Richards as The Duke, Hannah Jay-Allan as Arabia and Rochelle Sherona as Arabia (maternity cover).

At certain performances, Angela Marie Hurst (TINA: The Tina Turner Musical) will play the role of Satine.

Completing the cast are Oliver Adam-Reynolds, Erin Bell, Emily Bolland, Ross Chisari, James Chisholm, Katie Deacon, Fletcher Dobinson, Serenar Douch, Rola Elliott, Davide Fienauri, Zack Guest, Natorii Illidge, David King-Yombo, Jasmine Leung, Kira McPherson, Melissa Nettleford, Chris Otim, Joshua Robinson, Callum Rose, Ben Rutter, Gavin Ryan, Craig Ryder, Jamie Shields, Catrin Thomas, Matt Trevorrow, Charley Warburton, Sasha Woodward and Luke Fraser Yates.

Moulin Rouge The Musical is directed by Alex Timbers with a book by John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine.

The design team for Moulin Rouge! The Musical includes sets by Derek McLane, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Justin Townsend, sound by Peter Hylenski, hair and wig design by Brian Brown and make-up design by Sarah Cimino. Casting is by Pippa Ailion CDG and Natalie Gallacher CDG.
