Saving Grace musical adaptation to premiere in London at Riverside Studios

A musical adaptation of the film Saving Grace will make its debut in London this November.

Based on the 2000 movie, Saving Grace will feature songs from Suddenly I See singer-songwriter KT Tunstall with April de Angelis penning the book.

Directed by Laurence Connor, the production will run for 12 performances only from 22 November to 4 December at Riverside Studios.

Sometimes in life, you just need to grow.

After the suspicious death of her husband, Grace is alone and on the verge of bankruptcy. Finding an unlikely friend in her gardener Matthew, the budding entrepreneurs create a new joint venture to solve their financial woes. Dipping their toes into the dark side of horticulture, Grace and Matthew light up the sleepy seaside town of Port Isaac, as the pair find new highs in life’s lows.

Casting for the developmental run is to be announced.

Completing the current creative team are musical supervisor John Rigby, set and costume designer Laura Hopkins, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Richard Brooker and casting by David Grindrod.

Tunstall previously told the Daily Mail of the project: “I want everyone to come out whistling their favourite tune.”
