Adam Kay returns to the West End this autumn with new show Undoctored – This Is Going To Hurt… More.

The nation’s twelfth-favourite doctor returns to the West End, fresh from a record-breaking sell out run at the Edinburgh Fringe. This is Going to Hurt was a literary sensation, selling three million copies and becoming a multi-BAFTA-winning BBC series.
Undoctored follows on from This is Going to Hurt, leaving audiences laughing and crying with Adam’s unique tales of life on and off the wards. It also contains the ‘degloving’ story because people ask for refunds if they don’t hear it.
Adam Kay: Undoctored will play at London’s Lyric Theatre from 23 October 2023 currently booking through to 28 October 2023.
Adam Kay is a former doctor who transitioned into a successful career as an author and comedian. He gained widespread recognition for his memoir This Is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor, published in 2017.
The book offers a candid and often humorous look at the challenges, emotions, and experiences he faced while working as a junior doctor in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Through his writing, Adam Kay sheds light on the realities of the medical profession, including its demanding hours, emotional toll, and moments of both tragedy and comedy.
