Based on HG Wells’ dark Victorian tale, the extravagant updated production – titled The Spirit Of Man Tour – features surround sound, lighting, pyrotechnics and otherworldly special effects.

The Wanted’s Max George and Eastenders star Maisie Smith will star in the upcoming tour.
The real-life couple, who met and fell in love on the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing, will be playing the married couple Parson Nathaniel & wife Beth.

Jeff Wayne’s iconic Musical Version of The War of The Worlds is set to embark on a grand 17-date UK and Ireland arena tour, celebrating 130 years since the original publication of H.G. Wells’ gripping Victorian narrative.
The new tour in 2025 will be conducted by Jeff Wayne himself and will feature the remarkable Liam Neeson in 3D holography, portraying The Journalist who narrates the harrowing tale of the Martian invasion of 1898.
Renowned as one of the most innovative arena tours ever, Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its unique blend of music, theatre, and technology. Since its initial stage debut in 2006, when it was already at the forefront of theatrical production with its six-truck convoy, the show has continually evolved.
By 2025, marking nearly two decades of live touring, the production will have doubled in scale to 12 trucks, promising an array of new elements and special effects designed to thrill and engage audiences like never before.
