Following the immense success of the tour for the best-selling crime novel of all time, And Then There Were None, Agatha Christie Ltd, Fiery Angel, and Lucy Bailey (director of the West End hit Witness for the Prosecution) are set to bring Ken Ludwig’s adaptation of another Agatha Christie masterpiece to the stage in 2024.
Set in the winter of 1934, an avalanche halts the Orient Express in its tracks. Inside, an American tycoon is found dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, with the door locked from the inside. As the train is stranded in the snow with a murderer among the passengers, the world’s most renowned detective, Hercule Poirot, is faced with solving the case before the train reaches its destination.
Murder on the Orient Express stands as one of Agatha Christie’s crowning literary works, featuring a conclusion that ranks among her finest. This brand-new production promises a gripping, tense, and ingeniously cryptic journey. It’s a masterfully thrilling ride and a brilliant murder mystery that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.
The show will be directed by Lucy Bailey and designed by Mike Britton, with lighting design by Oliver Fenwick.
