Here’s all you need to know about the 2023 Panto at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre.
Produced by Crossroads Pantomimes, this year’s show will be Cinderella and performances begin on 9 December.
Cinderella tells the story of a young orphaned girl who is put to work by her evil step mother and bullied by her two step-sisters, until a chance encounter with her Fairy Godmother changes everything.
Packed with all of the traditional ingredients Bradford audiences expect, our spectacular family pantomime Cinderella features laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and hisses.
Join Cinders as she goes from rags to riches, outwits her very wicked sisters and meets her Prince Charming
As always a brilliant cast will bring the fairytale to life this year with the return of pantomime legend Billy Pearce as Buttons, Emmerdale star Samantha Giles as The Wicked Stepmother and celebrity baker and Strictly Come Dancing finalist John Whaite as Dandini.
They’ll be joined by Dale Mathurin as Prince Charming and Yorkshire local Sarah Pearson (who hails from Huddersfield) in the title role of Cinderella.
Sarah said: “It’s a dream come true to be playing Cinderella at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford this Christmas. Being from West Yorkshire myself, the Alhambra is somewhere I have visited frequently since I was little! I’m so excited to bring some magic to the families of Bradford and beyond this festive season, and I look forward to working with the incredible cast.”
Cinderella plays at Alhambra Theatre from 9 December 2023 until 21 January 2024.
