Disney’s Aladdin is hitting the road for its first ever UK tour in 2023 and 2024 – here’s all you need to know.

Telling the story of a poor boy who chances upon a wish-granting genie, the stage show is adapted from the iconic 1992 animated movie of the same name. Fresh from a hit run in the West End, the musical features both the songs from the original film plus new music written for the stage.

Meet the Aladdin tour cast

Leading the cast of the stage theatre tour will be Yeukayi Ushe as Genie and Gavin Adams as Aladdin.Desmonda Cathabel will appear as Jasmine in Edinburgh with future casting to be announced.

Also on the cast are Adam Strong as Jafar, Jo Servi as Sultan, Angelo Paragoso as Iago, Nay-Nay as Babkak, Adam Taylor as Omar and Nelson Bettencourt as Kassim.

Completing the company are Juan Jackson, Damien Winchester, Hannah Amin, Dammi Aregbeshola, Rico Bakker, Daisy Barnett, Sarah Benbelaid, Erin Gisele Chapman, Tau-En Chien, Zac Frieze, Jared Irving, James Lim, Harriet Millier, Luchia Moss, Aaron Elijah Patel, Abbie Platts, Joseph Poulton, Chris Ribz, Olivier Scheers, Kerry Spark, Ricardo Spriggsand Niko Wirachman.

The show has music by Alan Menken, original lyrics by the late Howard Ashman with new lyrics by Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin, who also pens the book.

Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs the production with set design by Bob Crowley, lighting design by Natasha Katz, costume design Gregg Barnes and sound design by Ken Travis.
