Shrek The Musical has been made available to watch online for FREE!

A filmed version of the original Broadway production is now streaming on Amazon Freevee, a free, ad-supported streaming service.

The proshot features a cast of Brian d’Arcy James, Sutton Foster, Daniel Breaker, Christopher Sieber and John Tartaglia.

Shrek The Musical is based on the 2001 animated film of the same name from Dreamworks. Inspired by various fairytale characters, it tells the story of ogre Shrek and his noble steed Donkey as they rescue Princess Fiona for Lord Farquaad.

The musical features lyrics and book by David Lindsay-Abaire with music by Jeanine Tesori.

Originally premiered in Seattle in August 2008, the show opened on Broadway later the same year. The Broadway run ended in January 2010 after just under 500 performances.

A West End production opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2011, running for two years and more than 700 performances.

A brand new UK tour of Shrek will hit the road in 2023. Performances begin at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth in July 2023, running until April 2024.
