The Coronation Concert line up revealed

A host of stars are set to perform at a special concert to mark the coronation of King Charles.

The Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle will take place on Sunday, 7 May and air on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Radio 2.

The concert will bring global music icons and contemporary stars together in celebration of the historic occasion.

Kirsty Young will return to anchor the special live broadcast while Clara Amfo and Jordan Banjo will be backstage with the artists.

Who’s performing?

The full line up of stars appearing at the event have been confirmed.

They include Take That who said: “This will be our first live show since the Odyssey Tour, four years ago in 2019, and what a stage to come back on! A huge live band and orchestra, a choir, military drummers, the backdrop of Windsor Castle and the celebration of a new King. We can’t wait.”

Joining them will be international popstar Lionel Richie, American popstars Katy Perry and Nicole Scherzinger , and opera icons Andrea Bocelli and Sir Bryn Terfel who will perform a special duet.

Also confirmed for the line up is singer-songwriter Zak Abel who will perform a duet with classical composer, producer and pianist Alexis Ffrench, Paloma Faith and Tiwa Savage, rock ‘n’ roll legend Steve Winwood and internationally renowned pianist Lang Lang .

Completing the line up are Olly Murs, Sir Bryn Terfel, Pete Tong Ibiza Classics. winner of The PianoLucy and Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor.

The concert will also feature The Coronation Choir made up of members from the nation’s keenest community choirs and amateur singers from across the United Kingdom, such as Refugee choirs, NHS choirs, LGBTQ+ singing groups and deaf signing choirs.

Plus, a virtual choir will also feature at the event, made up of singers from across the Commonwealth.
