Tickets are on sale now for the new production of Vanya starring Andrew Scott.
Scott will play every role in a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece of love, art, sex and attempted murder
Adapted by Simon Stephens and directed by Sam Yates, the production opened in Richmond in August before transferring to London’s West End where it now runs at the Duke of York’s Theatre for a limited season.
The production is presented by Wessex Grove, Gavin Kalin Productions and Kater Gordon. It has designs by Rosanna Vize.
Alongside buying tickets in advance, at every London performance, a limited number of last minute £30 tickets will be available via a weekly lottery in partnership with TodayTix.
Comedic and tragic, Chekhov’s examination of our shared humanity – our hopes, dreams, regrets – is thrust into sharp focus in VANYA.
This production explores the kaleidoscope of human emotions, harnessing the power of the intimate bond between actor and audience to delve deeper into the human psyche.
Andrew Scott said: “Heartbreaking, hilarious, sexy, devastating- the genius and extraordinary humanity of Mr Chekhov just knocks me out.
“It’s a genuine honour and a singular challenge to bring this giant of a play to life in the West End in this new way and I’m so excited to be doing it alongside such brilliant, playful and talented people.”
