Beauty And The Beast musical to play London Palladium this summer

Beauty And The Beast The Musical will run at London Palladium this summer.

Based on the 1991 animated film of the same name, the Beauty and the Beast stage adaption features a book by Linda Woolverton with music from Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.

A brand new production is currently on tour in the UK and will transfer to the West End for a summer season at the London Palladium from 24 June to 27 September 2022.

Courtney Stapleton and Shaq Taylor will lead the cast for the West End run in the roles of Belle and Beast respectively.

Gavin Lee will star as Lumiere, Tom Senior plays Gaston, Sam Bailey plays Mrs Potts, Nigel Richards plays Cogsworth, Martin Ball plays Maurice, Samantha Bingley plays Wardrobe, Emma Caffrey plays Babette and Louis Stockil plays Le Fou.

Completing the cast are Jake Bishop, Pamela Blair, Liam Buckland, Jasmine Davis, Autumn Draper, Daisy Edwards, George Hinson, Aimee Moore, Sam Murphy, Ashley-Jordon Packer, Emily Squibb, Jennifer Louise Jones, Alyn Hawke, Brontë Lavine, Thomas-Lee Kidd, David McIntosh, Grace Swaby, India Thornton, Sarah Benbelaid, Richard Astbury, Matthew Dawkins and Rhys West.

For now, the Beauty And The Beast musical tour continues across the UK.

The show is currently playing the Sunderland Empire (to 19 February) ahead of moving to Birmingham Hippodrome (3 – 26 March) and Manchester Palace (31 March – 4 June).

The iconic fairytale shares the story of a cursed prince who is forced to live as a terrifying monster until he finds true love, and village girl called Belle, who draws the cold-hearted beast out of his isolation.
