This July, get ready to see Oscar Wilde’s timeless classic, The Picture of Dorian Gray, like you’ve never seen it before.

Dorian: The Musical will make its world premiere at Southwark Playhouse Borough, running from 4 July to 10 August 2024.

Directed by Linnie Reedman with a score penned by Joe Evans, this modern adaptation spins the tale of Dorian Gray into the life of a young musician. After achieving sudden fame, Dorian dives into a world of dark desires and moral dilemmas.

Stepping into Dorian’s shoes is Alfie Friedman, known for his roles in The Undeclared War and The Witches of Eastwick.

Originally slated for 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic, fans got a taste of the musical’s potential through a streamed version in 2021.

Now fully staged, the show promises an even more immersive experience with a creative team that includes musical director Aaron Clingham, production manager and lighting designer Toby Darvill, set and costume designer Isabella Van Braeckel and sound designer Mike Thacker.
