A musical stage adaptation of Night At The Museum is in the works
Work is underway on a musical stage adaption of 2006 film Night at The Museum.
Bob Martin, who wrote the book to Broadway musicals The Prom, The Drowsy Chaperone and Elf: The Musical, is said to be working on the project.
Deadline reports that Martin is collaborating with the original film’s director Shawn Levy and legendary composer Alan Menken on the adaptation.
Based on the 1993 children’s book of the same name by Milan Trenc, Night at the Museum follows a man who takes a job as a security guard at a museum only to discover the exhibits come to life at night.
Martin is also said to be working on Disney’s stage adaptation of The Princess Bride as well as the planned Broadway version of Smash.
