Avenue Q will return to London this year for one night (and a matinee) only!

On Sunday, 10 November 2024, the Sondheim Theatre will host two special concert performances featuring the original London cast of the musical.

This event marks the 18th anniversary of the UK premiere production.

Jon Robyns (Princeton/Rod), Julie Atherton (Kate/Lucy), Simon Lipkin (Nicky/Trekkie/Blue Bear), Giles Terera (Gary Coleman), Ann Harada (Christmas Eve), Sion Lloyd (Brian), and Jacqui Sanchez (Mrs T/Yellow Bear) are all set to perform.

Avenue Q is a mix of flesh and felt, packed with heart and humour.

Featuring music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and a book by Jeff Whitty, the musical follows the lovably hopeless characters on a downtown New York street as they tackle life’s big questions: love, work, relationships, and how to pay the bills with a BA in English.

Winner of the Tony “Triple Crown” for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book, Avenue Q premiered in London at the Noël Coward Theatre in 2006 and played 1,179 performances in the West End.

This hilariously cheeky show, filled with catchy songs, is like no other musical.

However, it’s not for the easily offended.
