Big Night Of Musicals 2023 air date confirmed for concert on BBC One

Big Night Of Musicals is back for 2023 – here’s when it’s on TV.

The huge musical theatre concert brings together some of the biggest musicals for a special celebration.

Staged by The National Lottery, the event took place at the AO Arena Manchester in February in front of a live audience of thousands.

Now, it’s on it’s way to TV and radio!

Big Night Of Musicals air date

Big Night Of Musicals 2023 will air on BBC One on Saturday, 25 March at 7:50PM. The show will also stream online via BBC iPlayer.

You’ll also be able to listen on BBC Radio 2.

Jason Manford will host the event which will feature performances from West End staples including The Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda The Musical, Hamilton, Mamma Mia!, Six The Musical and Les Misérables.

The line up will also preview some upcoming shows including the West End transfer for Broadway hit Ain’t Too Proud; We will Rock You’s return to London, featuring Brenda Edwards; and a special performance from Aspects Of Love, featuring musical theatre star Michael Ball.

Plus, a number of touring shows will also hit the stage including The Bodyguard The Musical and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King And I.

Laura Pick, who will lead the cast of Wicked’s new tour, will perform Defying Gravity, while the new cast of Shrek on Tour – Antony Lawrence, Joanne Clifton and Brandon Lee Sears – will take to the stage.

Host Jason Manford said: “I’m thrilled to be back hosting The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals for another year. It was incredible to see so many amazing shows under one roof last year, and with 13 completely different shows set to perform this year, it’s guaranteed to be another cracker of a night!”
