Big Night Of Musicals 2023 first look at performances from Hamilton, Newsies, Wicked, Shrek & more!

Here’s your first look at this weekend’s return of Big Night Of Musicals.

Back for 2023, Jason Manford hosts another spectacular celebration of musical theatre this Saturday night on BBC One.

Presented by the National Lottery and filmed in front of a massive live audience at Manchester’s AO Arena, the concert will feature performances from the casts of 13 of the UK’s biggest musicals currently playing West End and and on tour.

The full cast of Hamilton take to the stage in a television exclusive, Call The Midwife’s Helen George appears in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I, and Michael Ball performs an iconic song from Aspects of Love.

And there will be first looks at the upcoming tours of Shrek, We Will Rock You and Wicked.

Completing the line up will be performances from West End classics Les Misérables, Mamma Mia! and Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda.

Plus, Jason also gives some young musical theatre fans the chance of a lifetime as they join him on stage for a very special performance.

And there is a star-studded celebration of the career of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and a behind the scenes look at touring show Heathers: The Musical.

Big Night of Musicals by the National Lottery airs on Saturday, 25 March at 7:50PM on BBC One.
