Bring it On the Musical announces open auditions for UK tour

Bring it On the Musical’s new UK tour will hold open auditions for its 2020 cast.

Bring It On The Musical is set for a tour across the UK this year, currently scheduled to open at the Birmingham Hippodrome in June.

Open auditions will be held on Wednesday 22 January between 10AM and 6PM at The Place, 17 Duke’s Road, London WC1H 9PY. Anyone wishing to audition needs to book a space online here.

Callbacks will take place on January 24 and auditionees must be available to start rehearsals from April 2020 before joining the show through to December 2020.

All applicants must be over 18 and have a valid UK/EU passport or a full working visa for the duration of the contract before applying.

Inviting auditionees to apply, producers Selladoor Worldwide say: “We are very excited to get the chance to audition people who wouldn’t get the opportunity to be seen via the traditional avenues when casting a large scale touring musical.

“This production requires all round performers who have non traditional skill sets with attention on cheerleading and acro. All performers need to have strong dance and vocals and be a team player!

“Whilst artists of all ethnicities will be considered for the production, it is a requirement of the show for the majority of the company to reflect a range of BAME backgrounds.”

Inspired by the film of the same name, Bring It On The Musical follows cheer-royalty and newly crowned Squad Captain, Campbell, who should be embarking on her most cheertastic senior year at Truman High School.

When she’s forced to move to the neighbouring hard-knock Jackson High, Campbell fears her life is over but an unlikely friendship catapults Campbell back into contention with a powerhouse squad and the fire to achieve the impossible.

The musical features a book by Jeff Whitty with music by To Kitt and Lin-Manuel Miranda and lyrics by Miranda and Amanda Green.
