Bill Kenwright’s legendary production of the international hit musical Blood Brothers is back for an exciting UK tour this autumn.

The tour kicks off on 20 August at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.

Vivienne Carlyle returns to the role of Mrs Johnstone, a part she made famous in the West End, earning standing ovations nightly.

Joining her are Sean Jones and Joe Sleight as the twin brothers Mickey and Eddie, with Gemma Brodrick as Linda.

The stellar cast also features Sarah Jane Buckley as Mrs Lyons, Scott Anson as the Narrator, and Tim Churchill as Mr Lyons.

Chloe Pole, Alex Harland, Graeme Kinniburgh, and Jess Smith reprise their roles, with new cast members James Ledsham, Ben Mabberley, and Dominic Gore joining the ensemble.

Willy Russell’s epic tale of Liverpool life began as a play in 1981 before becoming a musical in 1983. Since then, Blood Brothers has triumphed globally, with sell-out seasons in the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Japan.

The show’s unforgettable score includes songs like A Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe, and the heart-wrenching Tell Me It’s Not True.

Blood Brothers tells the gripping tale of twins separated at birth, growing up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences.

Mrs Johnstone, a young mother abandoned by her husband, struggles to provide for her children.

In a moment of desperation, she makes a fateful decision that leads to the show’s dramatic climax.
