Cast revealed for Kinky Boots first UK revival and regional premiere
Casting has been revealed for the upcoming UK revival of Kinky Boots.
The New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich and Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch will co-produce the first UK revival and regional premiere of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical Kinky Boots this autumn.
Directed by Tim Jackson, the new production will open at New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich from 1 – 24 September before moving to Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch from 28 September – 22 October.

Leading the cast of the new production are Matt Corner as Charlie, Keanu Adolphus Johnson as Lola and Aruhan Galieva as Lauren.
Joining them are Jay Anderson as Angel, Will Arundell as Harry/Bailey/Onstage Musical Director, Josephine Lloyd-Welcome as Georgie, George Lynham as Angel, Roddy Lynch as Don, Cavan Malone as Angel, Tim Parker as Mr Price, Anna Soden as Nicola, Lucy Elizabeth Thorburn as Pat and Hiromi Toyooka as Angel.
Casting for Young Lola and Young Charlie will be announced at a later date.
The full creative team are: Daniel Denton as Video Designer, Tony Gayle as Sound Designer, Crystal Hantig as Choreographer, Charlie Ingles as Musical Supervisor & Arranger, Tim Jackson as Director, Jamie Platt as Lighting Designer, Amanda Stoodley as Set & Costume Designer and Molly Wilsher as Assistant Director.
Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited a struggling shoe business from his dad, which he’s desperate to save. He unexpectedly bumps into a larger than life drag queen Lola, who’s looking for some sturdy stilettos.
They think they’ve nothing in common, but as the unlikely pair ruffle a few feathers, designing some fabulous footwear for the factory floor, perhaps they do…
Based on the film of the same name, Kinky Boots features a Tony-Award nominated book by Harvey Fierstein and Tony and Grammy award-winning songs by Cyndi Lauper.
