Cast revealed for new musical The Famous Five at Theatr Clwyd and Chichester Festival Theatre

Casting has been announced for upcoming new musical The Famous Five based on the books by Enid Blyton.

A co-production between Theatr Clwyd and Chichester Festival Theatre, the world premiere will take place at Theatr Clwyd on 29 September with previews from 23 September.

Written by Elinor Cook with music and lyrics by Theo Jamieson, the piece will then run in Chichester from 21 October as part of the venue’s 60th anniversary season.

Making up the cast are Ailsa Dalling as puppeteer and puppet associate, Elisa De Grey as Timmy puppeteer and puppet associate, Lara Denning as Aunt Fanny, Maria Goodman as George, Sam Harrison as Bobby, Isabella Methven as Anne, David Ricardo-Pearce as Uncle Quentin, Louis Suc as Dick, Kibong Tanji as Rowena and Dewi Wykes as Julian.

But out in the bay lies Kirrin Island and a ruined castle filled with mysteries to solve. Based on Enid Blyton’s multi-million-selling novels, Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd Tamara Harvey directs the new musical with designs by Lucy Osborne, choreography by Annie-Lunnette Deakin-Foster, musical supervision by David White, musical direction by Katherine Rockhill, sound design by Dan Samson, lighting by Johanna Town and video design by Ash Woodward. The associate director is Francesca Goodridge and assistant director is Juliette Manon.
