Come From Away musical set for UK & Ireland tour in 2024

Fresh from its run in the West End, Come From Away is heading out on a UK & Ireland tour!

The hit musical played its final performance at the Phoenix Theatre in London last month on 7 January 2023.

It has now confirmed plans to embark on a tour of venues across the UK and Ireland in 2024, starting in Leicester from 1 – 31 March next year. Tickets will go on sale from 13 February 2023.

Full dates, venues and casting for the tour are to be announced in due course.

With a score and book written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Come From Away was a huge hit on Broadway before it opened in the West End at the start of 2019.

The critically acclaimed and award winning musical revels the powerful real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives.

Directed by Christopher Ashley, the production has scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Gareth Owen, and orchestrations by August Eriksmoen.

The original West End production of Come From Away was nominated for nine awards at the Olivier Awards in 2019, winning four.

An original Broadway Cast Recording album is available here.
