Cast announced for Cruel Intentions musical at London’s The Other Palace

Cast has been announced for Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical‘s London premiere.

A stage adaption of the hit movie previously played at the Edinburgh Fringe following a US tour and productions in both LA and Off-Broadway in New York.

The Other Palace in London from 11 January – April 24 2024 with tickets on sale now.

Meet the cast

Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky (Six) and Daniel Bravo (Witness for the Prosecution) lead the cast as Kathryn and Sebastian the manipulative step-siblings, with Abbie Budden (Peter Pan, TikTok star) as Annette and Rose Galbraith (Old Friends) as Cecile.

Joining them are Josh Barnett (Newsies, Last 5 Years) as Blaine, Jess Buckby (42nd Street, Anything Goes) as Ms Bunny Caldwell / Dr Greenbaum, Nickcolia King-N’Da (RSC) as Ronald and Barney Wilkinson (Bonnie & Clyde, Bat out of Hell) as Greg.

Completing the cast are Craig Watson (Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream finalist), Nathan Lorainey-Dineen (& Juliet), Charlotte O’Rourke (Mamma Mia!) and Verity Thompson (Heathers).

Adapted from the 1999 film featuring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair, the Cruel Intentions musical takes audiences on a journey through the devious schemes of two step-siblings with a taste for manipulation.

This jukebox musical transports viewers back to the 90s with a soundtrack filled with chart-toppers. Among the hit songs featured in the production are Iris by Goo Goo Dolls, Genie In A Bottle by Christina Aguilera, Torn by Natalie Imbruglia, Bye Bye Bye by *NSYNC, and “No Scrubs” by TLC.

The musical has a book by Roger Kumble, Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross. The production will feature direction from Jonathan O’Boyle and choreography from Gary Lloyd.

Set & costume design is by Polly Sullivan, lighting design by Nick Richings, sound design by Chris Whybrow, musical direction by Denise Crowley, associate choreography by Matt Nicholson, costume supervision by Hugo Aguirre and casting Will Burton for Grindrod Burton.

An Off-Broadway cast recording is available now, featuring Lauren Zakrin, Constantine Rousouli, Carrie St. Louis, Jessie Shelton and Alex Boniello.
