Esme Bowdler is starring in the cast of Heathers’ latest UK tour this year.

Esme recently made the final of ITV’s I have a Dream finalist and now she’s appearing as the formidable Heather Chandler.

Tour dates for the show begin at Theatre Royal Windsor on 24 July before heading to venues across the UK until November.

The cast of the tour also features Jenna Innes making it beautiful in blue returning as Veronica Sawyer, having wowed audiences up and down the country last year when she first took on the role. She will be joined by Keelan McAuley taking on the mysterious, Jason “J.D” Dean.

Alongside Esmee, appearing as the titular ‘Heathers’ are Sedona Sky as Heather Duke and Daisy Twells as Heather McNamara.

Produced by Bill Kenwright Ltd and Paul Taylor-Mills, this high octane, black comedy, rock musical based on one of the greatest cult teen films of all-time that starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, is back with a bang!

When she’s unexpectedly taken under the wings of the three dazzling yet ruthless Heathers, her dreams of popularity finally start to blossom. But then JD, the enigmatic teen rebel, appears and reveals a harsh truth: while it might feel like dying to be a nobody, it’s murder to be a somebody.

Crafted by the award-winning duo Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy, this hit musical adaptation has captivated audiences in Los Angeles and New York. Its European debut at The Other Palace was a sensation, becoming the highest-grossing show in the theatre’s history with over 20,000 tickets sold and a sell-out before its grand opening.

The success continued at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and shattered records again when it returned to The Other Palace, becoming the longest-running show the venue had ever seen.

Directed by the acclaimed American screen and stage director Andy Fickman, the musical features dynamic choreography by Gary Lloyd, stunning design by David Shields, evocative lighting by Ben Cracknell, and immersive sound by Dan Samson.
