Extra performances added for Vanya with Andrew Scott in West End

Extra shows have been added for the new production of Vanya starring Andrew Scott.

Due to popular demand, additional performances will take place at the Duke of York’s Theatre on 14 and 18 October at 3PM. Tickets are on sale now here.

Scott plays every role in the new adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece of love, art, sex and attempted murder.

Adapted by Simon Stephens and directed by Sam Yates, the production has sold out the rest of its limited run which ends on 21 October.

Comedic and tragic, Chekhov’s examination of our shared humanity – our hopes, dreams, regrets – is thrust into sharp focus in VANYA.

This critically acclaimed smash-hit production explores the kaleidoscope of human emotions, harnessing the power of the intimate bond between actor and audience to delve deeper into the human psyche.

The production has design by Rosanna Vize, lighting design by James Farncombe, sound design by Dan Balfour, video design by Jack Phelan, movement by Michela Meazza, costume design by Natalie Pryce, associate design by Blythe Brett and assistant direction by Francesca Hsieh.

Andrew Scott said: “It’s a genuine honour and a singular challenge to bring this giant of a play to life in the West End in this new way and I’m so excited to be doing it alongside such brilliant, playful and talented people.”
