First look: Private Lives at Donmar Warehouse with Stephen Mangan
Here’s a first look at Donmar Warehouse’s new revival of Noël Coward’s Private Lives.
Directed by Michael Longhurst, the new production for the venue’s 30th birthday season runs from 7 April – 27 May 2023.
The cast will star Stephen Mangan as Elyot, Rachael Stirling as Amanda, Laura Carmichael as Sibyl and Sargon Yelda as Victor.
Elyot and Amanda; glamorous, rich, reckless… and divorced.
A surprise encounter on adjoining hotel balconies rekindles their passion and they fling themselves violently into love once more, and their newly married lives into chaos.
Also on the cast are Faoileann Cunningham as Louise/the Violinist and Harry Napier as The Cellist
The creative team includes design by Hildegard Bechtler, lighting by Jack Knowles and casting by Anna Cooper CDG.
Private Lives joins Donmar’s 30th season of shows including the UK premiere of Next To Normal and Jack Thorne’s new play When Winston Went to War with the Wireless.
