The acclaimed National Theatre production is travelling across the country over the next twelve months as part of a 10th anniversary tour.
Adapted by Simon Stephens from the novel by Mark Haddon and directed by Marianne Elliott (War Horse, Angels in America, Company), the show is currently running at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre through to January. It will then visit venues across the UK and Ireland
The The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time cast features David Breeds and Connor Curren sharing the role of Christopher.
Joining them are Kofi De-Graft-Jordan (Mr Thompson), Ashley Gerlach (Mr Shears), Joanne Henry (Mrs Alexander), Siu-See Hung (Punk Girl), Kate Kordel (Judy on alternate weeks), David Monteith (Reverend Peters), Tom Peters (Ed), Rebecca Root (Siobhan), Hannah Sinclair Robinson (Mrs Shears) and Sophie Stone (Judy on alternate weeks).
Completing the company are ensemble members Marc Benga, Sibylla Meienberg, Joe Rawlinson-Hunt, Rebecca Wilson and understudy Christopher and swing Jacob Coleman.
Christopher, fifteen years old, stands beside Mrs Shears’ dead dog. It has been speared with a garden fork, it is seven minutes after midnight and Christopher is under suspicion. He records each fact in the book he is writing to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington.
He has an extraordinary brain, exceptional at maths while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.
