Meet the 2021 cast of Frozen in the West End

The full cast of Disney’s Frozen The Musical in London’s West End has been revealed.

Frozen The Musical will open at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in September 2021 with tickets on sale here.

Based on the hit 2013 animated movie of the same name, the stage show features all the big songs from the film plus more than 10 new ones, all written by husband and wife team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Samantha Barks will take up the role of ice queen Elsa while Stephanie McKeon will appear as sister princess Anna.

They’ll be joined by Obioma Ugoala as Kristoff, Oliver Ormson as Prince Hans, Richard Frame as Duke of Weselton, Craig Gallivan as Olaf with Mikayla Jade and Ashley Birchall sharing the role of Sven.

The role of Young Elsa will be shared by Minaii.K, Tilly-Raye Bayer, Freya Scott and Sasha Watson-Lobo while Summer Betson, Asanda Abbie Masike, Kanon Narumi and Ellie Shenker share Young Anna.

Making up the ensemble are Cameron Burt, Hannah Fairclough, Danielle Fiamanya (first cover Elsa), Chris Fung, Joe Griffiths-Brown, Emily Lane, Jason Leigh Winter, Emily Mae (Bulda), Jacob Maynard, Gabriel Mokake (King Agnarr), Leisha Mollyneaux, Sarah O’Connor (first cover Anna), Joshua St. Clair (Pabbie), Jacqui Sanchez (Queen Iduna), Jak Skelly (Oaken/Bishop), Jake Small, Isabel Snaas and Monica Swayne.

Completing the cast are swings Jeremy Batt, Lauren Chia, Laura Emmitt, Matt Gillett, Justin-Lee Jones, Jemma Revell, Kerry Spark and Anna Woodside.

Frozen The Musical was originally due to begin performances in October of 2020 but the theatre shutdown saw the opening move to April 2021 and then September 8.

The show is currently booking through to June 2022 with a standard performance schedule of 7PM Wednesdays-Saturdays with 2PM shows on Thursdays and Saturdays and 1PM and 5:30PM shows on Sundays.

Frozen The Musical is directed by Michael Grandage with a book adapted by the film’s screenwriter Jennifer Lee. Choreography is by Rob Ashford, scenic and costume design by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Neil Austin, sound design by Peter Hylenski, video design by Finn Ross, puppet design by Michael Curry, hair design by David Brian Brown, make up design by Anne Ford-Coates, special effects design by Chernick, music supervision and arrangements by Stephen Oremus and orchestrations by Dave Metzger.
