Godspell’s 50th Anniversary concert is now available to stream online
The virtual show first premiered over the summer, featuring an all star cast.
Ruthie Henshall (Chicago; Billy Elliot), and Darren Day (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat; Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) return to reprise their roles from the 1993 cast recording; joined by Sam Tutty, Ria Jones and Jenna Russell.
Starring alongside them are leading West End Talent: Jodie Steele, Danyl Johnson, Jenny Fitzpatrick, Natalie Green, John Barr, Sally Ann Triplett, Gerard McCarthy, Alison Jiear, Shekinah McFarlane and Lucy Williamson.

Directed by award-winning Michael Stratten (Billy; Assassins), the virtual concert was filmed from the cast’s homes and edited together with striking visual animations. It is a revival of Godspell like never before, revamping the show for the modern technological age.
Composed by Stephen Schwartz with a book by John-Michael Tebelak, Godspell tells the story of Jesus as told in the Gospel of Matthew. With songs including ‘Day By Day’, ‘Prepare Ye’, ‘Turn Back O Man’ and ‘Beautiful City’, the show follows a community of disciples as they learn the concepts of compassion, trust, love and tolerance.
