Hannah Waddingham hits back at photographer on Olivier Awards red carpet
Hannah Waddingham received applause after she addressed a photographer’s inappropriate remark during the Olivier Award’s red carpet on Sunday night.
A video shared by a fan on X captured the moment, though the photographer’s comment was not audible. Waddingham responded sharply, stating, “Oh my God, you’d never say that to a man, my friend.”
She warned she would leave if such comments persisted and firmly told the photographer, “Don’t be a d**k, otherwise I’ll move off. Don’t say ‘show me leg.’ No.”
long story short: hannah was being her gorgeous self and the 📸 made some comment about her leg we couldn't quite make out and… well, the video speaks for itself. This woman is a role model. Always, always call pricks out on their bullshit. https://t.co/TUPwdqEYo2 pic.twitter.com/ybhxCo5FJ6

The exchange occurred before the theatre awards ceremony on Sunday, where Waddingham was hosting.
As she made her way to the Royal Albert Hall for the ceremony, Waddingham continued the discussion, emphasising the need for respect. She pointedly told the photographer, “Have some manners.”
Waddingham, who also hosted the awards in 2023, entertained the audience with a performance of Anything Goes, marking another memorable appearance at the prestigious event.
