Watch I Should Be so Lucky musical perform on Children In Need

The cast of new new Stock Aitken Waterman jukebox musical I Should Be so Lucky took to the stage of BBC’s Children In Need on Friday!

Featuring music from the likes of Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Jason Donovan and Bananarama, I Should Be so Lucky made its premiere in Manchester this month.

The new musical is touring the UK with upcoming dates this year in Cardiff and Leeds before visiting venues across the UK in 2024.

The show’s stars took to the stage of BBC Children In Need on Friday, 17 November on BBC One and iPlayer.

They performed a medley of songs from the show, including classic hit Especially For You, with a very special duo taking on one of the biggest hits as Jason Manford & Mel Giedroyc joined the cast!

Also in Children In Need’s latest telethon was a debut British TV performance from new Disney animated movie musical Wish. Merryl Ansah performed a song from the film.

Further performances came from the BBC Children in Need Choir singing You Raise Me Up, singer songwriter JERUB performing his latest single There Till The End, the UK’s Junior Eurovision act STAND UNIQU3 singing their entry Back to Life, and Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne giving a debut TV performance of new song My Love.

Away from music, the night will also featured sketches from Doctor Who featuring David Tennant while puppets will take over the MasterChef kitchen.

Plus, the race was on for three pairs of TV characters in Race Across Yorkshire, a parody of the hugely successful Race Across The World.

BBC Children In Need aired on Friday, 17 November from 7PM on BBC One and iPlayer.
