Magic Goes Wrong announces cast for new West End run

Casting has been announced for Magic Goes Wrong which will reopen in London’s West End in October 2021.

The hit Mischief Theatre Company show will play at the Apollo Theatre for a limited season from 21 October 2021 through to 27 February 2022.

The comedy play follows a group of hopeless magicians as they try to stage a charity fundraising event but find their tricks ruined by a string of completely unforeseeable accidents that spiral out of control.

The cast will feature Louise Beresford as Peg, Scott Hunter as Mel, Shane David-Joseph as Sophisticato, Henry Lewis as Mind Mangler, Jane Milligan as Madame Escapade, Genevieve Nicole as Eugenia, Sydney K Smith as Mickey, Kazeem Tosin-Amore as The Blade and Nancy Zamit as Martina.

The company is completed by Steph De Whalley, Christian James and Tom Wainwright.

Magic Goes Wrong is written by Mischief Theatre Company’s Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Henry Shields together with American magician duo Penn & Teller.

Magic goes wrong is directed by Adam Meggido, designed by Will Bowen with costume designs by Roberto Surace. Lighting design is by David Howe, with Sound Design by Paul Groothuis and Video & Projection Design by Duncan McLean.

Ben Hart is the Magic Consultant. The Composer is Steve Brown, alongside Movement Director Ali James with Additional Material & Associate Direction by Hannah Sharkey.

Alongside the West End run, a Magic Goes Wrong tour is currently on the road across the UK

Meanwhile Mischief Theatre’s The Play That Goes Wrong reopened in the West End earlier this year.
