The cast recording from the new Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along has been released!
The new production of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s musical opened off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop in 2022 before transferring to Broadway earlier this year.
It stars Jonathan Groff as Frank, Daniel Radcliffe as Charley, Lindsay Mendez as Mary, Krystal Joy Brown as Gussie, Katie Rose Clarke as Beth and Reg Rogers as Jo
Maria Friedman directs the revival having previously helmed a production in London at the Menier Chocolate Factory in 2023.

Featuring one of Sondheim’s most celebrated and personal scores, and moving backwards in time, Merrily charts the turbulent relationship between three lifelong friends and traces every milestone of their lives for nearly two decades as they navigate success, show business and unbreakable bonds.
The production features choreography by Tim Jackson, music supervision by Cathy Jayes, music direction by Alvin Hough, Jr., scene and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Amith Chandrashaker and sound design by Kai Harada. Casting is by Jim Carnahan and Jason Thinger, with additional casting by Taylor Williams. The fight and intimacy director is Dave Anzuelo and stage manager Jhanaë K-C Bonnick completes the production team.
Merrily We Roll Along’s original Broadway production in 1981 closed after just 16 performances and 52 previews. A movie adaptation is currrently in the works.
