New musical Ride released to watch online on demand

New musical Ride is now available to watch online via Broadway on Demand.

The award-winning show is about the first woman to cycle round the world is written by Freya Catrin Smith and Jack Williams.

Following a try out at VAULT Festival in 2020 and semi-staged performances at the Garrick Theatre in 2021, a full production recently made its premiere at London’s Charing Cross Theatre.

Liv Andrusier and Yuki Sutton star in the cast of the two-hand, which is directed by Sarah Meadows.

It’s 1895 and Annie Londonderry has returned victorious to America, hailed as the first woman ever to cycle around the world. She’s pioneering, she’s plucky, and she’s pitching her story to the newspapers.

But as she approaches rough terrain, can Annie regain her footing, or will she have to confront the past she left behind? An “unmissable” (Everything Theatre) award-winning new musical, filmed at London’s Charing Cross Theatre.

The production has design by Amy Jane Cook, movement and choreography by Natasha Harrison, musical direction by Sam Young, orchestrations by Macy Schmidt, lighting by Jamie Platt and sound by Andy Johnson.
