Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat full cast for London Palladium

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is playing the London Palladium this summer – here’s who’s on the cast.

Announced in November 2018, a West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will open at the London Palladium on June 27 for an 11-week engagement.

Currently booked to play until September 8, the full cast has now been confirmed.

BAFTA and Olivier Award-winning stage and screen actress Sheridan Smith (Legally Blonde, Funny Girl) will play the role of narrator while Jason Donovan – who previously played Joseph at the Palladium in the 1990s – will take on the role of Pharaoh.

The title role of Joseph will be played by 21-year-old Jac Yarrow, who makes his West End debut.

Further casting includes Michael Pickering as Simeon and Richard Carson as Reuben.

Completing the adult cast are Femi Akinfolarin, Casey Al-Shaqsy, JR Ballantyne, Lydia Bannister, Thalia Burt, Michael Cortez, Vanessa Fisher, Ahmed Hamad, Blythe Jandoo, Matt Krzan, Kelsie-Rae Marshall, Billy Mitchell, Georgina Parkinson, Emily Ann Potter, Matthew Rowland, Harriet Samuel-Grey, Carl Spencer, Joshua Steel, Hannah Taylor and Jack Wilcox.

A children’s ensemble will feature Rihana Akhtar, Mia Byers, Angel Clark, Aoife Connelly, Oliver Crouch, Jacob Dennison, Anna De Oliviera, Tilly Doherty, Nessa Eriksson, Dara Gleeson, Sean Gordon, Maci Hughes, Isabelle Jones, Dino Karakostas, Jamie Kenly, Jaxon Knopf, Olivia Leask, Olivia McNulty, Indiphile Mbonzongwana, Jack Meredith, Chloe Muldowny, Keanna-Skye O’Quinn, Regan Parker, Devon Pomeroy, Etienne Ragoo, Olivia Seagrove, Tom Skoines, Nina Stevenson, Jandice Stewart, Mia Walsh, Luca Willemburg and Sacha Yarwood.

Giving Jac some advice, former Joseph Jason told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Work hard, have fun.. And act. That’s essential to a good musical performance. You can’t just stand there and sing.

“For people to love what you do or the character you play, you’ve got to be vulnerable and open as an actor. Other than that, you’ve got eight shows a week. Turn up on time and keep fit and try and stay sober.”

Jac found out he had secured the role on his 21st birthday.

“This is more than I can ever imagine,” he said. ‘Let alone for my first job straight out of college, and to be working with Sheridan and Jason. It’ll be like a getting a masterclass.”

On Twitter, he announced to his followers: “So THRILLED to announce I will be playing Joseph at the London Palladium this Summer? Honoured is an understatement!”
