Singer stuns Britain’s Got Talent judges with Les Misérables cover

A 22-year-old stunned the Britain’s Got Talent judges this weekend with a cover of a Les Misérables classic.

Travis George from South Wales took to the stage this Saturday and shocked the panel with his incredible voice.

He told the judges he loved singing but struggled with nerves as he stood before the audience.

Travis went on to burst into a pitch perfect rendition of Stars from the hit musical Les Misérables, leaving the judges and crowd all on their feet.

Judge Simon Cowell quipped: “You weren’t messing around were you.”

Bruno Tonioli added: “Talk about going for it! I tell you, you could walk into a West End or Broadway show tomorrow!”

Amanda Holden agreed: “I’ve seen Les Mis countless times and you just knocked it out of the park, flawless.”

Alesha Dixon added: “You are adorable, you’re so sweet and you don’t realise how great you are.”

Simon concluded: “It was an amazing audition, that’s what I call selling a song, that’s an audition we’re going to remember.”

With four yeses, Travis sailed through to the next round.

Britain’s Got Talent’s latest series is currently airing Saturday nights on ITV1 and ITVX.

Other acts on Britain’s Got Talent this weekend included musical theatre group Boycanto, who performed their rendition of ‘Revolting Children’ from the musical Matilda.

Plus, the judges were on their feet for Sheffield Community Choir, a gospel choir that performed Happy by Pharrell Williams.

As ever hopefuls will be wanting three or more yeses from the judges to get through in the next stage where they could make the live semi-finals.

The contestants are going head to head to win a place on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance and a £250,000 cash prize

Who will follow in the footsteps of reigning champion, comedian Axel Blake and win over viewers to be crowned 2023 Britain’s Got Talent winner?

Britain’s Got Talent continues weekends on ITV1.
