Pygmalion revival at Old Vic to star Patsy Ferran and Bertie Carvel

Patsy Ferran and Bertie Carvel are to star in a new revival of Pygmalion at London’s Old Vic Theatre.

The new production of George Bernard Shaw’s play, directed by Richard Jones will run from 6 September – 28 October 2023. Tickets are on sale now here.

The Olivier Award-winning duo of Bertie Carvel (The 47th, The Crown) and Patsy Ferran (Camp Siegfried, A Streetcar Named Desire) will feature as Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle respectively.

They will be joined by Lizzy Connolly, Grace Cookey-Gam, Steven Dykes, Michael Gould, Liz Jadav, Penny Layden, Sylvestra Le Touzel, John Marquez, Taheen Modak, Caroline Moroney, Rohan Rakhit and Kieran Smith.

Eliza Doolittle aspires to more than selling flowers on the streets of Covent Garden. 

After a chance meeting with Professor Henry Higgins and Colonel Pickering, she finds herself the subject of a rash bet to pass her off as a lady amongst the great and the good of London society.

The production has design by Stewart Laing, lighting design by Adam Silverman, sound design by Tony Gayle, composition and arrangements by Will Stuart, movement direction by Sarah Fahie, casting by Jessica Ronane CDG, dialect by William Conacher, voice by Charlie Hughes-D’Aeth, costume supervision by Sarah Bowern and wigs, hair and make-up supervision by Keisha-Paris Banya.
