Rent 20th anniversary cast reunite for lockdown performance in support of NHS
Rent’s 20th anniversary cast has reunited for a performance from isolation.
The talented company behind the recent UK production have shared a rendition of the musical’s hit song Seasons of Love.
As the ongoing theatre lockdown continues, the cast performed from their homes for the music video which is raising money for Acting For Others and NHS Charities.
Those appearing in the video are Billy Cullum, Bobbie Little, Christina Modestou, Harrison Clark, Javar Parker, Jenny O’Leary, Jordan Laviniere, Joshua Dever, Katie Bradley, Kevin Yates, Layton Williams, Lucie Jones, Oliver Bingham, Philippa Stefani, Raffaella Covino,Ross Hunter, Ryan O’Gorman and Shanay Holmes.
Loosely based on Puccini’s opera La Bohème, rock musical Rent features music, lyrics, and book by Jonathan Larson and tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists living, loving and working in Manhattan’s East Village, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.
Since its first premie Off-Broadway in 1996, the show has enjoyed countless productions across the world including four separate West End runs.
