Reviews have dropped for The Prince of Egypt Musical in London – what did the critics make of it?

First produced by DreamWorks animation, The Prince of Egypt is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus and tells the journey of Moses as from being a prince of Egypt to his ultimate destiny to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.

The stage adaption features ten new songs by Stephen Schwartz alongside the original music he penned for the animated film, including Oscar-winning track When You Believe.

The original West End cast is led by Luke Brady as Moses, Liam Tamne as Ramses, Christine Allado as Tzipporah and Alexia Khadime as Miriam.

Further casting features Joe Dixon as Seti, Debbie Kurup as Queen Tuya, Gary Wilmot as Jethro, Adam Pearce as Hotep, Tanisha Spring as Nefertari, Silas Wyatt-Barke as Aaron and Mercedesz Csampai as Yocheved.

The premiere London production officially opened at the Dominion Theatre on February 25, 2020.
