A Night with Janis Joplin is a vibrant musical journey honouring the iconic Janis Joplin and her major musical influences.

It features legends like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Odetta, Nina Simone, and Bessie Smith, who all played a pivotal role in shaping Joplin’s journey to become a rock ‘n’ roll icon. Joplin, known for her passionate and soulful voice, burst onto the music scene in 1967. She quickly became known as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, captivating audiences from Monterey to Woodstock with her powerful performances and unique style.

This show presents some of Joplin’s most loved songs, including ‘Piece of My Heart,’ ‘Cry Baby’, ‘Me and Bobby McGee’, among others, allowing the audience to experience her music in a new light.

Starting in 2011, A Night with Janis Joplin has been a phenomenal success, touring for two years and setting box office records in numerous theatres. In October 2013, the show made its Broadway debut at the Lyceum Theatre, receiving outstanding reviews. Since then, it has continued to tour across the US, bringing Joplin’s unforgettable music to new audiences.
