Widely considered to be ‘The Greatest Sporting event of the 20th Century’ the Ali v Foreman Heavyweight Championship boxing match (the first to be held in Africa) is the stuff of legend, and this live immersive event recreates all the sights, sounds and festival atmosphere that surrounded this zeitgeist capturing event.

In the spirit of Ali and Foreman’s iconic match, the ensemble of characters, including David Frost, who covered the bout, and the legendary showbiz-savvy boxing promoter Don King, mingles with the audience as the story unfolds. This immersive experience encompasses the fervour of media attention, electrifying press conferences, intense sparring sessions with the boxers, and the climactic fight itself.
The soundtrack comes alive with the Zaire ’74 festival, featuring stellar performances by some of the biggest names in black music, such as James Brown, BB King, Bill Withers, Sister Sledge, Miriam Makeba, and Celia Cruz, alongside a plethora of Latin America’s finest musicians.
“Rumble in the Jungle Rematch,” the second immersive event crafted by the renowned producers Rematch, following their successful recreation of the legendary Borg vs. McEnroe Wimbledon final of 1980, takes you on a thrilling journey from the intimate dressing rooms to the global stage, from pre-match banter to the meticulous reenactment of the fight, and every captivating moment in between.
Guided by an exceptional creative team, the 12-year Secret Cinema veteran Miguel Hernando Torres Umba serves as the Creative Director, while the talented writer Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu, best known for his two-time Olivier-nominated work lends his expertise.
Overseeing the musical elements is Femi Temowo, an acclaimed composer and jazz guitarist recognized for collaborating with renowned artists like Amy Winehouse and George Benson, who assumes the role of Music Director.
