Burlesque the Musical

Tickets are on sale now for the UK premiere of new musical Burlesque in Manchester.

Burlesque: The Musical will open at the Manchester Opera House from 13 – 29 June 2024.

The new musical is adapted from the 2010 film of the same name, written by the movie’s director and screenwriter, Steven Antin, with additional material by Kate Wetherhead.

It will include songs originally written for the movie by Christina Aguilera, Diane Warren and Sia, together with new songs by Todrick Hall and Jess Foley.

Who’s on the cast?

As well as writing songs for the show, Jess Folley will take on the lead role of Ali while Todrick Hall will star as Sean.

They will be joined by George Maguire as Vince, Billie-Kay as Sophia, B Terry as Georgie, Jess Qualter as Daphne, Yasmin Harrison as Brenda (and dance captain), Lily Wang as Fifi, Hollie-Ann Lowe, Michael Mather as Jackson and Ope Sowande as Trey.

Joining them are ensemble members Alessia McDermott and Lewis Easter

The cast is completed by swings Callum Aylott, Lucy Campbell and Amber Pierson.

Nick Winston will direct and choreograph the world premiere production.
