Tickets are on sale now for the 2023 Panto at Manchester Opera House with Jason Manford!

Produced by Crossroads Pantomimes, this festive season’s show will be Jack and the Beanstalk with tickets on sale now here.

Jack and the Beanstalk tells the story of poor country boy Jack who trades his family cow in for a handful of magic beans, which grow into a beanstalk leading to a giant’s castle.

Meet the cast!

As usual a star cast will be bringing the magical story to life this festive season, led by comedy superstar Jason Manford.

Jason said: “To be invited back to the Opera House in Manchester with such a fun and collaborative company and alongside my new best mate, the hilarious Ben Nickless, well, how could I say no?

“This Christmas I’ll be putting down the hook and stepping into the title role in Jack and the Beanstalk, and I’m very much looking forward to playing the nice guy!

“The Manchester audiences are second to none, so I’m really honoured to be part of your Christmas panto tradition once again.”

Jason is joined by returning Manchester panto favourite Ben Nickless as Silly Simon with the pair reuniting for a second year.

Also on the cast, star of stage and screen Myra DuBois plays Mrs Blunderbore, Samara Casteallo is The Spirit of the Beans and Emma Williams plays Princess Jill.

Doomed to sell his trusty cow, join Jack and his family as they fight to outwit the evil giant, win riches beyond his wildest dreams and the hand of the girl he loves. Expect laughs, music, special effects, magic beans and bundles of audience participation in this giant of a pantomime!

Jack and the Beanstalk plays at Manchester Opera House this year from 2 December – 31 December 2023.
