The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical will run from 18 June – 21 September 2024 at the Wyndham’s Theatre.

Written by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, Next to Normal is an intimate exploration of family and loss. At its heart is Diana Goodman, a suburban wife and mother living with bipolar disorder and haunted by her past.

Who’s on the cast

Making up the West End cast of Next To Normal are:

  • Jack Wolfe as Gabe

Donmar Artistic Director Michael Longhurst, who helmed the long-awaited UK premiere, said: “The outpouring of emotion from audiences at the Donmar was incredible: you could hear audible sobs before they surged to their feet every single night – like nothing I’ve experienced. Tickets were impossible to come by, so I am beyond thrilled that more people will now be able to experience the work of this extraordinary creative team.”

The production has musical supervision by Nigel Lilley, design by Chloe Lamford, lighting design by Lee Curran, sound design by Tony Gayle, movement direction and choreography by Ann Yee, video design by Tal Rosner, musical direction by Nick Barstow, associate musical direction by Natalie Pound and casting direction by Anna Cooper CDG.

The show held its UK premiere at Donmar Warehouse last October.
